It’s the end of May and with June starting I can say I have enjoyed getting back into more and more training, it has been rewarding and also fun. I have been working hard so have a few aches but I am very happy this is all going in the right direction.
My week at the moment is 3 sessions with the strength and conditioning coach, 1 session with the physio and 1 session of sports massage . I am also doing 4 to 5 cardio sessions which are either a run or a cycle. I am very pleased that I am back doing most things now,Ii just can’t wait to get skiing again.
As Well as all this I am working whenever I can to earn some cash, I certainly sleep well after some long days.
Back soon

may update

The last few weeks have been basic training along the lines of biking and cross training, and just upping the time on the machine each time. Last week we had a fitness camp in Stirling and considering I am not long out of the operating theatre I was very pleased with myself. This fitness camp happens every year to get everyone to a base fitness level after the long season. Next step will be to start the training for the summer with fitness tests every 4 to 5 weeks.
I am just starting to do a little bit of running , this over the last few days. And my knee is feeling very good, so I am very happy with my progress. I am Still doing physio two times a week and this is making a big difference.
The other big issue for me is finding a new sponsor, with all the missed racing over the past 2 seasons I now have to find some way of funding the coming season.

Hi folks, back at last.
So sorry for such a long wait on an update but with everything over the last 12 months, my injuries, training setbacks etc I have been so down about it all . I have been just trying to get fixed and clear my head.
The last few weeks have been tough in one way, but very good in others as I now feel I have had a major breakthrough and know I am now getting back into fitness.
Two weeks ago I got my left knee operated on. I had a chondroplasty , plica removal and some cists removed in a few different places and also an anterior tib and fib joint exploration. Sounds like big job and it was, the surgeon did a great job and I am now back in the gym feeling great. The last few days have given me so much drive and determination to get back on skis and make it to the top of my sport. I have started cycling in the gym for 20 mins at a time at the moment. I will do more and more on the bike everyday from now on while I am also seeing the physio a few times a week to work on the scar tissue and the leg.
I can’t wait to get on with my fitness and get back into shape. I am looking forward to finally getting back out on the slopes in the summer months and then back to competing again. I need to prove a few things to myself and to the rest of the skiing world, who have had so much faith in me over the years.
I also need some sponsors, so get in touch and let’s work together.
